1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SATAscent ("Service"), operated by SATAscent ("we," "our," "us") at satascent.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
2. Description of Service
SATAscent is an AI-powered SAT preparation platform that provides adaptive practice questions, AI-generated explanations, progress tracking, and personalized study tools. The Service is intended for educational use only.
SATAscent is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the College Board or any official SAT testing organization. "SAT" is a registered trademark of College Board.
3. Account Registration
You must create an account to access most features. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration
- Maintain the security of your password and not share your account credentials
- Notify us immediately at satascent.support@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
SATAscent offers a free tier and optional paid subscription plans ("Premium"). By subscribing to Premium, you agree to the following:
Billing
Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) via Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date. All prices are listed in USD and are exclusive of applicable taxes.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Account settings or by emailing satascent.support@gmail.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to Premium features until the period ends.
Refunds
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for first-time Premium subscribers. After this period, subscription payments are non-refundable. We reserve the right to issue refunds at our sole discretion on a case-by-case basis.
Price Changes
We may change subscription pricing at any time with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations
- Share, resell, or redistribute AI-generated content without our permission
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract our question database or AI models
- Use automated bots or scripts to access the Service
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Upload or transmit malware, spam, or harmful content
- Circumvent any access controls, paywalls, or rate limits
- Share your account with others or use multiple accounts to bypass usage limits
6. Educational Use and AI Limitations
SATAscent uses AI to generate practice questions and explanations. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. SATAscent is a study aid — it is not a guarantee of SAT score improvement. You are responsible for verifying important information through official sources such as College Board.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on SATAscent — including the platform design, software, branding, and AI-generated study materials — is owned by or licensed to SATAscent. You may use the Service and its content solely for your personal, non-commercial educational use. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our written permission.
You retain ownership of any content you submit (e.g., notes, custom mistakes you log). By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to use it to provide and improve the Service.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SATASCENT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction, as applicable under federal and state law.
11. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide at least 14 days' notice via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to SATAscent at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion option in settings.
